Terms of Service

By using Malhae (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Malhae provides AI-powered Korean↔English translation with cultural fluency features including voice profiles, context modes, and translation history. The Service is available via malhae.app.

2. Accounts

You may use Malhae without an account with limited features. To access translation history, voice profiles, and higher usage limits, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Service
• Exceed rate limits or abuse the API in automated ways without permission

4. Translations

Translations are generated by AI and may not be perfect. Malhae is a tool to assist with translation — it is not a substitute for professional human translation in critical contexts (legal, medical, official documents). You are responsible for reviewing translations before use.

5. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the text you submit. Translations generated by the Service are provided for your use. The Malhae name, logo, and design are our intellectual property.

6. Pricing and payments

The free tier includes limited daily translations. Pro and Business plans are available with expanded limits. Pricing is displayed on our website and may change with notice. Payments are processed through Stripe. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to inaccurate translations, service interruptions, or data loss.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
